BIO

Scott has a heart centered and healing approach to teaching. He believes that aligning breath with movement is an essential part of a healthy life. As a child Scott’s family instilled in him a deep love for the arts, coached him in gymnastics and introduced him to many athletic endeavors. He studied marshal arts as a teenager. This is where he first learned about breath and meditation techniques. He is a graduate of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. As he grew older he developed passionately into a creative artist and a extreme sports athlete. Scott has devoted his life to the study of color and movement, specifically how it relates to staying creative, centered and grounded amidst the chaos of the post-modern world. After spending long hours in front of the computer as an art director he started to develop poor posture and back pain. This sparked Scott on to his yogic path of healing. For sixteen years he has studied Hatha Yoga in the Krishnamacharya lineage. His teachers include Shiva Rea, Erich Schiffmann, Seane Corn and many other wonderful guides. For the past nine winters Scott has lived in the Mammoth Lakes region of the Sierra Nevada Mountains sharing his joy for life by teaching yoga, skiing and snowboarding. He also spends much of his time in Venice, CA living near the magnificent Pacific Ocean.
